What is SEO?
SEO is used by digital marketers. It stands for Search Engine Optimization is defined as “methods used to increase traffic to a website by increasing its search engine page rank,’ according to Techopedia.
Two Types of Search Engine Optimization
There is Onsite Search Engine Optimization and Offsite Search Engine Optimization. We are going to learn about both.
Offsite Search Engine Optimization
Offsite SEO “refers to actions taken outside of your own website to impact your rankings within search engine results pages” according to MOZ.
Every time you leave a comment or post on someone else’s page, that is considered an offsite promotion! This is huge for you because you can utilize that and create backlinks that help your page rank higher.

Onsite Search Engine Optimization
Onsite SEO “refers to activities on a website to improve organic visibility” according to Screaming Frog.
Onsite SEO is incredibly important, as it can account for 33% of Google’s code when it comes to ranking aspects.
For example, a bad website would almost never rank on Google and people will stop seeing it because that person did a poor job with Onsite SEO.
